Responsibilities
Do you enjoy driving, precision work, and interacting with customers? Join JBM to make regional deliveries behind the wheel of a heavy-duty truck equipped with an auxiliary crane.
Based in Vénissieux, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering industrial products to our customers throughout the region. You will handle loading and unloading operations using the auxiliary crane, ensuring the safety of both people and goods.
Your main responsibilities:
- Prepare your deliveries: review the instructions, check the shipping documents, and verify the condition of the vehicle and its equipment.
- Inspect and secure the cargo: verify that the goods comply with regulations and are in good condition, and check their distribution and securing.
- Ensure that deliveries are made on time and in compliance with the Highway Code and transportation regulations.
- Operate the auxiliary crane to load and unload cargo, taking into account access conditions and the delivery environment.
- Ensure that the equipment is functioning properly: perform routine inspections and maintenance, and report any issues.
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients and share information that is useful to the business.
Candidate Profile
You have at least 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks and at least 1 year of experience operating an auxiliary crane.
You have:
– A Class C driver’s license, up-to-date FIMO/FCO freight certification, and a valid driver card.
– A valid CACES R490 certification, with proven proficiency in loading and unloading operations.
– A good understanding of transportation, cargo securing, and safety regulations.
A CE license and ADR certification are additional assets.
You are self-reliant and thorough, and you know how to adapt to different delivery locations and the needs of the business. You are punctual, take good care of equipment, and are committed to providing high-quality service. You are able to perform the material-handling and load-carrying tasks associated with the position, in accordance with safety guidelines.
Job Requirements:
- Position to be filled as soon as possible.
- Position based in Vénissieux, with regional travel required.
- Daytime hours, based on a contract of 169 hours per month.
- Versatility expected based on business needs.
- Occasional work on Saturdays and the possibility of on-call duty.
