What is pipe lining?
An innovative trenchless technology that uses existing sewer manholes as the only access point.
Fast execution to rehabilitate long sections of pipelines ranging from Ø150mm to Ø2000mm (circular, box culvert, and ovoid configurations).
An execution study, followed by site visits and a CCTV inspection, makes it possible to diagnose the condition of the network in order to tailor the best financial and technical solution.
A milling team (equipped with a robotic unit) may be recommended to prepare the substrate (existing pipe) for the liner to ensure a proper seal and optimal flow.
The CIPP lining process
• Collector inspection and diagnosis
• Pipeline measurement and calculation notes for sizing the liner (soil conditions, network depth, pipe diameter and material)
• Milling and cleaning of the network
• Insertion of the liner using a winch – compressed air inflation – UV lamp train curing
• Cutting of the ends and control camera pass (including video and photo report)
• Reopening of lateral connections using a robotic cutter
• Sealing restoration at the ends
