Founded in 2021, ECOFHAIR is a mission-driven company committed to developing a circular economy. It also works to promote pollution cleanup efforts while supporting workforce integration.
The company now promotes the use of hair as a resource through the partnership with Coiffeurs Justes. Since 2015, the association has operated a nationwide collection system.
ECOFHAIR thus harnesses a key property of this material: its ability to absorb oils and hydrocarbons.
ECOFHAIR® develops and markets pollution-control solutions designed to prevent and limit oil spills. These solutions are used in marine and ocean environments as well as in recreational boating areas. They also meet the needs of industrial and oil-related activities.
A subsidiary of SERPOL, a major player in environmental remediation in France, ECOFHAIR draws on the group’s in-house laboratory and Research & Development division. This expertise enables the company to validate the performance of its products, particularly in the area of contaminated sites and soils.
In addition to hydrocarbons, ECOFHAIR products can capture other pollutants. Their effectiveness has been validated by laboratory tests conducted under conditions that simulate real-world use.
